The exquisite handles are in solid bronze and the lids are crowned with a beautiful bronze broccoli figurine and leaves, casted by our master artisans.

Ideal for cooking soups, braising and stewing, making chili, ratatouilles, rice, pasta and  perfect when browning meats or vegetables as well! Its wide shape helps gentle heat distribute evenly through your food while it cooks; allowing to make gloriously crisp exterior edges (perfect after being seared in Qopper Stories frying pan.) You can also roast vegetables and bake delicious gratins, the beautiful lid also makes it ideal to prepare and serve juicy pork loins, chicken thighs and other meat and poultry.

Each and every piece is handcrafted by master coppersmiths in solid copper using the same traditional hand-spinning techniques that were first used over 100 years ago. This gives each product a unique character and a story – a testament to the artisans who shape copper into exquisite pieces. Copper is not only beautiful, it has unsurpassed heat conductivity which allows the ideal temperature to be reached rapidly and evenly. It has been called the Queen of Pans since 17th century when it made its first appearances in the luxurious villas of the Italian Renaissance as well as the French, British and Ottoman palaces. When placed on a flame, it will spread heat quickly and consistently across the bottom and up the sides whilst, when removed from the heat source, the temperature will drop quickly, avoiding overcooking. Flavors and nutritional values remain unchanged, and the food doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan, avoiding hot spots and burning. Copper pans have since been used in the kitchens of the world's finest restaurants and today are still found on the stoves of discerning cooks around the world.

All our copperware is lined by hand in the age-old traditional way using hot molten tin. This creates a far superior bond with the copper than modern-day electro-tin plating techniques which can flake and expose the water to copper. Unlike non-stick cookware that raises concerns about the presence of harmful PFOAs on its pan coating (perfluorooctanoic acid), the natural and pure tin lined in Qopper Stories’ copperware is not harmful to your health after long-term use. Tin is a great conductor itself: it doesn't interfere with the cooking performance of copper cookware. Tin’s smooth crystalline structure makes it naturally low-stick: a small amount of oil or butter, combined with the right cooking temperature, is enough to release cooked foods from tin effortlessly. When applied by hand over an open flame – as our master craftsmen do – tin bonds to the copper, ensuring your cookware a very long life when properly cared for.

Being 100% recyclable, copper is the most sustainable option in the kitchen. It is estimated that 80% of all the copper ever extracted is still in use in some form today!

We love the imperfect perfections of our handcrafted objects. Each piece is painstakingly prepared by hand from solid single sheet of copper after countless steps of manual processes. Each piece is unique. They might have minor abrasions, imperfections or scruffs as a result.  These are considered normal and do not have any impact on the performance or durability. They only add to the unique character of the handcrafted wares and testament to the craftmanship.

The profession of coppersmith is an art which has become rare and on the verge of dying…we cherish this beautiful tradition and work hard to revive it…
