function. Each piece is tin lined over fire by hand, making the pan naturally
low-stick and has hand-cast bronze handles and knobs.
Ideal for traditional stir-frying, sautéing , braising, or shallow
frying. You can also add a lid (as an extra option), so you can cook spinach
and leafy greens in their own water, or simmer proteins, mushrooms and veg on
low heat after browning.

Copper cookware
isn’t just beautiful—nor
is it a trend. Copper is the oldest metal used by man. Since 17th
century, tin lined copper pan is considered the Queen of Pans thanks to its
beauty but also to its excellent heat conductivity which allows the ideal
temperature to be reached rapidly and evenly. This makes the
copper cookware a precision tool. When placed on a flame, it will spread heat
quickly and consistently across the bottom and up the sides whilst, when
removed from the heat source, the temperature will drop quickly, avoiding
overcooking. Flavors
and nutritional values remain unchanged, and the food doesn't stick to the
bottom of the pan, avoiding hot spots and burning. Copper pans have since been
used in the kitchens of the world's finest restaurants and today are still
found on the stoves of discerning cooks around the world.
Most of our
copperware is lined by hand in the age-old traditional way using hot molten
tin. This creates a far superior bond with the copper than modern-day
electro-tin plating techniques which can flake and expose the water to copper. Unlike non-stick cookware that raises concerns
about the presence of harmful PFOAs on
its pan coating (perfluorooctanoic acid), the natural and pure tin lined
in Qopper Stories’ copperware is not harmful to your health after long-term
use. Tin is a great conductor itself: it doesn't interfere with the cooking
performance of copper cookware. Tin’s smooth crystalline structure makes it
naturally low-stick: a small amount of oil or butter, combined with the right
cooking temperature, is enough to release cooked foods from tin effortlessly. When
applied by hand over an open flame – as our master craftsmen do – tin bonds to
the copper, ensuring your cookware a very long life when properly cared for.
We use only
the purest and finest quality copper and our master artisans handcraft each
vessel using the same traditional hand-spinning techniques that were first
used over 100 years ago. This gives each product a unique character and a story
– a testament to
the artisans who shape copper into exquisite pieces. Since it
is produced by hand for the entire process, small differences and
irregularities can be seen and any visible streak is not to be considered as a
defect but the proof of the hand crafting the entire work.
